Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph Service CV2011

The CV2011 is a personal favourite. The calibre 16 Carrera in general is a fabulous line of watches with great understated looks and bulletproof reliability. The silver dial and black bezel of the CV2011 is the perfect colour combination.

This example is missing it’s crown and stem which has prompted the owner to bring it in for service, it’s looking a little tired but all the damage is superficial. It should come up like new after a service. The watch is losing time and has a low amplitude and 0.8m/s beat error. Definitely requires a full movement service.

After the movement service is complete and a new crown, stem and setting lever are fitted, a new trace is taken, the watch has new oils, a fresh mainspring and is properly set up. Now running absolutely perfectly. This trace would be just as good as the day it left the factory even after 10 years with no servicing. This movement really is one of the best watch movements ever made.

The case and bracelet refinishing is also complete and the watch is rebuilt ready for a week of testing. This service was carried out in 2 weeks for a total cost of £450 using only genuine Tag Heuer parts with no hidden extra costs.
