Tag Heuer WAZ1010 full service

This service was an odd one. The watch had been taken by it's owner to a major high street jeweller. The case thread had failed on the crown so a repair was needed. The initial quote received was £245 taking 10 weeks. The customer agreed to the terms and awaited the return of the watch. Instead he received a letter stating that the dial feet on the underside of the dial were broken and the repair would now cost £520 to complete. At this point the client declined the increased cost and asked for the watch to be returned. The image below is the watch as it arrived in the post.

The watch has been completely stripped to its component parts and returned in pieces.

The dial feet are both intact and look absolutely fine. At this point we decide to proceed with a service as usual, we fit new seals, fit a new crown and refinish the case and bracelet.

The is quite a lot of wear to the strap and some dirt in the clasp.

The bracelet comes up like new with a little work.

The watch is fully rebuilt, resealed and pressure tested.

The owner will be delighted to see his watch back in one piece. I’m not sure what happened before the watch arrived with us, but in the event of a refused repair it is good practice to at least return the watch to the condition it first arrived in. I can’t imagine posting a watch back in pieces.

The cost of this service with us was £120. It took under a week. If you need a Tag Heuer WAZ1010 service please let us know.
